A Vintage Bride {Sweet Meadow Farm at Beech Creek}

Here’s a peek inside the first series of a fantastically styled shoot with some crazy-talented vendors in the West Georgia area.   Shot at the oh-so-gorgeous Sweet Meadow Farms at Beech Creek in Tallapoosa, Ga, and under the direction of event stylist, Hannah Bingham, we created a set full of vintage flare, a touch of whimsy, and a whole ‘lotta southern sweetness.  Soak in all the charm below!…

Hannah Bingham with The Vintage Rental Company offers an eclectic array of charmingly dated pieces to add to your own wedding day or event.  Between the old books, mantels, chairs, farmhouse tables, and dishes, you’ll be giddy as a schoolgirl trying to choose between so many amazing pieces!  You can visit her shop at 501 Maple Street in Carrollton, Ga.  And be sure to tell her Aislinn Rain sent you!

Mike McGee with McGee’s Bakery in Carrollton, Ga. provided this beautiful swiss dot swirl wedding cake.  As fourth generation owners, McGee’s knows JUST what they’re doing when it comes to delivering sweets that are beautiful to look at and even sweeter to eat.

Hair and Make-up courtesy of Chris Cole Salon in Carrollton, Ga.  Owner, Nicole Ragsdale, used an airbrush technique to give our model a glow that complimented the golden light so beautifully while hair stylist, Apryl Hancock, created a vintage up-do with a modern twist.

Flower arrangements and bouquet designed by stylist, Hannah Bingham, with The Vintage Rental Company.  (Yes!  She does flowers, too!)

The beautiful property of Sweet Meadow Farms at Beach Creek boasts acres of lush fields, tall trees, lakes, and lovely arbors.  If you are looking for an intimate, southern-loving venue that works for events small and large contact owner Melanie Hobert or assistant Anna Claire Freeman.

A special thank you to Chris Cole Salon, Whit Maxey, Hannah Bingham, Melanie Hobert, Mike McGee, Morgan Swinney, Austen Bingham, and Anna Claire Freeman.

Check back soon for ‘Part Deux’ of this styled shoot!

We had so much fun! This place was amazing!!! Had so much fun working with everyone involved!

Sophia + Janie are back!

My favorite sister duo is back!  I met with Sophia + Janie Jo, along with their momma, Kim, at le Jardin Blanc in Douglasville, Ga. for their classy and feminine sister shoot.  We enjoyed walking the exterior grounds of this beautiful venue and capturing some sweet moments of the girls.  There might have been some crazy dancing, tree swinging, and squeals going down, too.  Enjoy this teaser of some wildly fun little ones!…

Thank you, Collins girls, for yet again reminding me how much I love my work, but more importantly love YOU!  I can’t wait to share all your images with you, and I’m EXTRA excited to have a new assistant on staff!  ;-)

with sisterly love,

Welcome to the World, Coen. {The Maxey Family}

Welcome to the world, Coen Whitman Maxey! Sometimes life hits you with some surprises, and that’s certainly how his parents Nathalie and Whit felt when this little guy decided to show up a week early on April 15th, weighing in at 7 lbs, 12 ounces! No blankets were ready, no clothes had been washed, but when it’s time…it’s time! What this family lacked in preparedness, they certainly made up for in joyous moments with their new little guy! Check out these photos of happy mom and dad (and sleepy baby!)

Hands down, the coolest nursery to date.

Dad, Whit, is a crazy-talented drummer.  We wanted to incorporate his passion into their session, and this is how we did it.

Wanna know something pretty awesome about Mom Nathalie?  Not only is she an amazing nursery designer, she also happens to be a fashion expert.  I follow her blog, Nat in Love, to track online sales and get some serious fashion inspiration.  Check her out.  Your wardrobe will thank you!

Are you swooning over that squishy face as much as I am?!

Whit, Natalie + Coen,

What a treasure you three are!  Thank you for welcoming me into your home and sharing with me the beginnings of something so wonderful.  I can’t wait to watch you two as parents and see how Coen grows.  He’s one lucky little boy.

with fab shoes +  good beats,

Colton is Three!

Boy, oh boy!  I got my workout with Mr. Colton at his 3 year session!  He is one fast-moving ball of lovable energy and I had so much fun with him and his momma, Abby!   Check out their high-speed sneak peek below!…

Colton loves Cars and his mom.  Such a sweet boy!!

We wrapped up our session with a wade in the pool.  We didn’t stay very dry for long.  :-)

Happy 3rd Birthday, Colton!!

with love + splashes,

Turner Field Engagement Session {Kevin + Whitney}

How cool is this?!  Kevin + Whitney rocked my world when they chose Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves, to shoot their e-session!  When I was first getting to know Whitney I asked her what her and Kevin loved to do together.  She said without hesitation, “BASEBALL.  We’re huge Braves fans!”  That left one obvious location choice for their engagement session, and we were determined to make it happen!

Eeee!  Look at that bling!  I’m digging the sapphires!…

Kevin + Whitney’s custom made jerseys.  Can you guess their wedding date?:-)

I told them I was going to wear my Cubs jersey just for them.  They laughed at me.  And it wasn’t the good kind of laugh like this.:-)

Kevin + Whitney,

What a fantastic way to document your love for one another!  I love your creativity and energy!  I can’t wait to see more of it on your wedding day!

Until June 1st,

*aislinn rain*

P.S. – Go Braves! (And Cubbies);-)
