My client is not everybody and that’s okay! If you're looking for overly-edited and perfectly posed photos, I'm probably not your girl. My ideal client values authenticity and meaningful connections, while also seeking a fully personalized and elevated experience from start to finish.

I do my best to offer a variety of options to accommodate each client. I’ve always said that photography is one of the few things you can invest in that truly increases in value over time. What you can expect from me is that there is always a session fee, which covers my time with you at your session, my creative skills, backing up, storing and editing your images. I like to keep things genuine. Organic. Real. I encourage you to pick an activity or two you'd like to do with your kids to keep you moving and interacting in an authentic way. We'll probably chat a bit, I'll get to know you and your kids and I'll document as we go. While I always take some time for posed shots, it's the in-between moments that are my favorite. Whether it's a fit of giggles or a classic kid meltdown, I'll be there to document it in the realist of ways. And you might be surprised by how much you cherish those “in-between” portraits the most!

You choose! On-location sessions are super popular - parks, fields and farms are common choices. My personal favorite will always be in-home sessions. I believe they are very uniquely you and allow you to be comfortable and genuine in front of the camera. Lifestyle newborn sessions typically take place in your home. I photograph you and your baby as you are. No props. No crazy poses. I simply document you and your new family in your home and in your element. My studio is also a great option if the weather isn’t cooperating or your home is not part of your overall vision.

My hope and goal is always that what you're wearing will be the LAST thing anyone notices about your photos. But with that said, I like to provide a couple general guidelines that prove to be helpful…Stay away from logos and text, it can be distracting. Choose clothes that are comfortable, reflect your personal style and make you feel like YOU. If you choose a dress for your daughter, please make sure she has on bike shorts or bloomers. (I can’t tell you how many amazing photos I’ve had to discard simply because this wasn’t taken into consideration!) Additionally, look around your home at how you decorate and what colors you use. Your photos are going to be heirloom pieces that you display on your walls. Consider using your decorating style as inspiration for colors and outfit choices. As a general rule of thumb:
Don’t match. Don’t coordinate. COMPLIMENT.

Around two weeks after your photography session, we will meet again for your Reveal and Ordering Session. This is always my favorite part and I'm willing to bet it'll be your favorite too! You'll get to view all your images both in print and digital format. Together, we'll decide what would be the best options for you. I suggest having a babysitter for this so you can fully enjoy your time and be present for this decision-making process. You'll want to study the images, talk through your options and maybe even enjoy a glass of wine as you make your selections.

Most print products are available for pick up within 2 weeks of your Ordering Session. Custom framing takes between 1-3 weeks, depending on your selections. Albums are available for pick up within 2 weeks of final design approval. (Digital downloads are available within 3 days of purchase.)
